Founded in 2001, Ovoria has become a trusted international egg bank, delivering high-quality donor eggs for IVF treatment. With cutting-edge egg freezing techniques, extensive donor screening, and transparent donation processes, we ensure Glasgow fertility patients receive treatment options that meet their specific needs. Our services comply with the guidelines set by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA), ensuring safety and ethical practice.

Ovoria stands out by offering:

  • International Fertility Expertise: Our fertility specialists and embryologists regularly update their practices in line with global standards, ensuring Glasgow patients receive tailored IVF treatment plans with the highest possible success rate.

  • Comprehensive Egg Donor Selection: We offer an extensive selection of egg donors, ensuring you find a suitable match. Our online donor platform provides detailed non-identifying information, allowing you to make informed decisions.

  • Guaranteed Quality of Donor Eggs: Every batch of donor eggs we provide is meticulously screened, and we offer clear guarantees for every cycle of treatment to ensure the highest standards.

  • Strict Family Limit Control: We adhere to HFEA regulations by monitoring the number of live births per donor, preventing excess genetic overlap and ensuring ethical donation practices.

  • Advanced Egg Freezing and IVF Techniques: Our state-of-the-art egg vitrification process increases the viability of donor eggs, improving the chances of a successful pregnancy.

Our role in treating infertility

Ovoria plays a vital role in helping individuals and couples across Glasgow and Scotland overcome infertility through egg donation and IVF treatment. Whether you are undergoing private or NHS fertility care, we can support your fertility journey by providing high-quality donor eggs and coordinating closely with leading fertility specialists.

Our experienced team assists with every step, from egg donor selection and medical screening to embryo transfer and follow-up fertility care. By working with reputable fertility clinics in the UK, we ensure your journey is seamless, transparent, and focused on maximising your chance of conception.

The egg donation process for egg recipients

At Ovoria, we simplify the egg donation process for individuals and couples in Glasgow and across Scotland, ensuring a smooth and transparent experience. Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Register Online & Select Your Donor

Start by creating a Private Client account in our secure egg donor database. This allows you to browse detailed donor information, including medical history, family medical background, and childhood or adult photos (where available). All egg donors undergo standard genetic testing, with the option for extended screening if required. Once you’ve selected a donor, you can choose from sets of 6, 8, or 12 donor eggs, depending on your treatment plan and clinic requirements.

Step 2: Contact the Ovoria Coordinator

Once you’ve chosen a donor egg, an Ovoria egg donation coordinator will confirm availability and guide you through the next steps. This includes discussing medical requirements, legal aspects, and Ovoria’s guarantee systems. During this stage, we address any concerns regarding pricing, NHS fertility treatment integration, and private fertility options.

Step 3: Sign the Agreement

After finalising details—such as the egg donor, number of oocytes, and any additional genetic testing—you will sign a legal agreement. This contract ensures full transparency regarding your egg donation cycle, confirming your purchase and outlining the next steps in your fertility treatment.

Step 4: Coordinate With Your Fertility Clinic & Arrange Shipping

If you are receiving fertility treatment at a clinic in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, or Aberdeen, inform your specialist that you have sourced donor eggs from Ovoria. Your clinic must confirm it is ready to receive the frozen donor eggs, and Ovoria’s logistics team will arrange a secure, hand-carried shipment to ensure the eggs arrive safely and remain viable for your IVF treatment.

Step 5: Embryo Transfer & Pregnancy Testing

For fresh egg donation, the egg donor undergoes ovarian stimulation and egg retrieval, while the recipient prepares their uterine lining with hormone therapy. For frozen donor eggs, your clinic will carefully thaw the oocytes before fertilisation using IVF or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). The resulting embryos are cultured for up to five days before embryo transfer. Around two weeks later, a blood test measuring hCG levels will determine whether the treatment has resulted in a successful pregnancy.
