First Visit – Initial Assessment
During the initial visit, potential egg donors go through several key evaluations:
Ultrasound exam to assess ovarian reserve and rule out signs of prior stimulation or medical issues
Blood test to measure Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) levels
Consultation with a psychologist and fertility doctor to explain the donation process in detail

Second Visit – Interview & Psychological Evaluation

Monitoring & Hormonal Stimulation
Once approved, the donor begins a carefully monitored stimulation phase:
Multiple ultrasound check-ups to track ovarian response
Hormonal medications administered via small injections over a 10–13 day period
3–5 follow-up visits during the stimulation cycle to monitor progress and adjust dosage if needed

Egg Retrieval – Safe and Painless Procedure
Egg Retrieval – Safe and Painless Procedure
After approximately 10–13 days of hormonal stimulation, the donor is scheduled for egg retrieval based on her individual ovarian response.
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, ensuring a completely painless experience.
Oocytes are collected vaginally under ultrasound guidance by a medical specialist.
Following the procedure, the donor is advised to rest at home and take the day off from work to recover comfortably.

Post-Retrieval Recovery
Post-Retrieval Recovery
After the egg retrieval:
Donors may experience mild cramping or fatigue, similar to menstrual symptoms.
Over-the-counter pain relievers can be taken without consulting a doctor.
Most donors are able to resume normal daily activities and return to work within 1–2 days.

Reimbursement
Reimbursement
The financial reimbursement for the donation cycle is processed:
On the same day as egg retrieval, or
The next day, once the embryological report is received.
This compensation acknowledges the donor’s time, commitment, and contribution to helping others build a family.
Ukrainian law sets the limit of 8 stimulation cycles.
What does the egg donor screening process entail?
It includes a standard blood test, genetic tests, infectious diseases tests, examination by a general practitioner and gynaecologist.
How can the child of the recipient get the information about the non-anonymous egg donor after reaching 18 years?
A child of the recipient can contact a medical centre for information. The child should provide a birth certificate or other documents confirming the relationship with the recipients as well as copies of the parents’ passports. After passing the identification, he will be able to receive the donor’s personal data (full name, last known address, donor’s message to the child).
